What is Oryzite?
The first bio-filler based on rice husk with a very good dispersion capacity.
ALLOWED TO PRODUCE from packaging to pieces of
automotive, in a big range of sector (logistics, automotive,
furniture, construction, etc ...).
Its use as commodity allows to mold complex geometries. Oryzite adopts thermoplastic conducts and is fully compatible with many
processes, both injection as extrusion. This is a material of last
generation created based on own R & D in more than 10 years of
development.
Oryzite can be added from 3% to 85%. Which affects the final cost in raw
material (other similar in the market can reach no more than a 61%).
This commodity provides cost reductions while maintaining dimensions and
thickness of the piece. You can easily achieve savings of more than a 20% in raw material and
energy consumption in always shorter cycles because the use of Oryzite
greatly reduces the time of extraction of any manufactured.
Moreover Oryzite reduces the extraction time, injection reductions up to 50 %
are obtained, which directly influences the yield of final product.

Oryzite adds a number of improvements over the technical properties of the
compound (MFI > Density < deformation) = more sustainable. It has been developed as an complement to form polymer composites with PP, PVC,
ABS, PS, HDPE, LDPE, PMMA, PA, PBT, PET and THERMOSETS.
The formulation of the new compound uses a high percentage of rice husks. It is a
raw material of high quality replacing volume of polymer.
The Product For polymer melting point to 220°C and above 220°C available in
powder or pellets to satisfy the mixing processes.
Using Oryzite for forming polymer components comprises a broad
spectrum of applications.

Molding Parameters
Pre-drying. The material should be pre-dried with air or vacuum dryers to 80ºC. It is
possible to improve the process at 120ºC for 90 to 120 minutes.
Mixing. Place the desired proportion of Oryzite (under the desired parameters) with the
thermoplastic and removing the pellets for a good homogenization of the
product. The optimum system is by low speed helical agitators.
Tanks dispensers filling.
The correct process is performed by augers. Using suction, you can reel off the
Oryzite.
Process temperature. Using standard parameters for molding thermoplastic temperature can be
reduced a 20%.
The melt temperature must not exceed 210 ° C in the case of polymers having
a melting point below 220ºC, and 260ºC for polymers having this melting point
220ºC above.

Injection equipment.
Oryzite machine can be processed with standard injection molding.
Extrusion equipment.
Twin-screw extruders are recommended for good homogenization, allowing greater
concentration of Oryzite.
The use of single-screw extruders with mixer, do not lead to achieve the high
concentrations obtained with twin-screw. It is recommended to adjust the
parameters starting with concentrations of 10% of Oryzite and increase them
gradually to find the optimal dosage.
If you use filters must have a 40-50 braid mesh.
Vacuum degassing is recommended.
Safety Data
Manipulation. Oryzite is without risk for the operators. However, to ensure product quality and
stability, we recommend that both transport and handling are performed at room
temperature.
No risk of electrostatic discharge.
Storage. Oryzite should be stored at room temperature. Keep the product in the closed
container, away from moisture, if possible in ventilated area and avoid extreme
fluctuations in temperature.
Occupational exposure. Manual and direct manipulation of the product should be wearing protective gloves.
If there is adequate ventilation in the workplace use respiratory protection mask with
filter N-, R-, or P-series and 95,99 or 100% is recommended.
Toxicology and first aid. Inhalation: Dust can irritate the upper respiratory tract slightly after inhalation of high
concentrations of dust. Move victim to a place with individual air free of dust.
Rev:030815

Ingestion: no immediate effects.
Eye contact: the exhibition of high concentrations of dust may cause
irritation. Remove by washing with water.
Accidental release. Removed by shovel and broom.
Environmental impact. Inert, insoluble in water, without effect on the environment.
