WHAT IS RACC?

Nondiscrimination Statement

The Irvine Unified School District is committed to equal opportunity for all individuals in education. District programs and activities including membership in student

clubs shall be free from discrimination based on race, color, ancestry, nationality, ethnic group identification, immigration status, age, religion, actual or potential

parental, family, or marital status, or the exclusion of any person because of pregnancy or related conditions, physical or mental disability, sex, sexual orientation,

gender, gender identity or expression, or genetic information; the perception of one or more of such characteristics; or association with a person or group with one or

more of these actual or perceived characteristics.

The District does not discriminate in enrollment in or access to any of the activities and programs available. Admission to these programs is based on age

appropriateness, class space, interest, aptitude, and prerequisite coursework where applicable. The lack of English skills shall not be a barrier to admission to or

participation in the District’s activities and programs. The Irvine Unified School District also does not discriminate in its hiring or employment practices.*

*The full Nondiscrimination statement can be found at iusd.org and Board Policy 5145.5

The Regional Admission Counselors of California (RACC) is composed of college admission

professionals who represent colleges and universities outside the state of California. Members

work closely with students and families of California while partnering with high school,

community college and independent counselors throughout the state, and have dedicated the

necessary resources for a regional office to serve Californians by providing information on out-

of-state educational opportunities.

What can RACC do for you? They are a resource. The admission professionals of RACC are

available to assist students and parents with questions about their institutions and the

admission process.

Please open up the camera function on

your phone and scan the QR code to

access our attendance form.

What is WUE? WUE is the Western Undergraduate Exchange, a program coordinated by the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE). Through WUE, students in Western states may enroll in participating 2-year and 4-year public college programs at a reduced tuition level: up to 150% of the institution’s regular resident tuition. In all cases, WUE tuition is considerably less than nonresident tuition. For answers to many of the commonly asked questions about WUE and information about what institutions participate, visit www.wiche.edu/wue.

What States and U.S. Territories Participate?

Resident students from the following states and U.S.

Territories may participate, if they meet eligibility

requirements:

Alaska Idaho Oregon Montana Arizona South Dakota California Utah Colorado Washington Hawaii Wyoming Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands

Eligibility Many institutions require evidence of academic performance, such as ACT/ SAT test scores or high school GPA, or place other conditions on WUE enrollment. Consult the WUE website for details.

Application and Admission

Apply directly to the institution(s) of your choice for

admission and WUE tuition status. Mark prominently

on the institution’s application form that you seek

admission as a WUE student. Many institutions limit

the number of new WUE awards each year so apply

early! Consult the college admission website for

requirements and application deadlines.

More Information

Go to www.wiche.edu/wue. The profiles of

participating institutions will give you their eligibility

requirements, application deadlines, majors available

at the WUE rate, and more. For additional questions,

please contact the school’s admission office directly.

Example: How much would I save with WUE at University of Arizona*?

Resident Tuition: $11,077

Non-Resident Tuition: $34,976 WUE Tuition: $16,616 WUE Savings to Student: $18,361 * The rates shown are taken from WICHE’s Annual Tuition and Fees Report for AY 2018-19 and are for example purposes only. Actual tuition rates may vary. Please consult with each college to verify rates.
