THE STUDY BRIDGE —A DIRECT PATH TO STUDYING IN GERMANY
WHAT IS THE STUDY BRIDGE?
The Study Bridge is a program run by the Goethe- Institut in partnership with the University Alliance Ruhr (Ruhr University Bochum, TU Dortmund University, and the University of Duisburg-Essen), the RWTH Aachen University, the Europa University Viadrina, the University of Applied Sciences Bonn-Rhein-Sieg and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
The program is geared towards high school students with above-average performance in the STEM subjects of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics or economics who have German language skills, and would like to study in Germany.
Targeted preparation in the German language, STEM- or economics-specific terminology, and the structure of the German higher education system enables Study Bridge participants to be granted direct access to study at one of the partner universities after graduating from high school.

ACCESS TO STUDYING IN GERMANY
WHO CAN APPLY?
Applications are open to interested high school students who
> have above-average academic performance in STEM subjects;
> can provide documented proof of German language skills at early A1 level or higher;
> are highly motivated to study in Germany;
> have the consent of their parents or guardians;
> have completed their freshman year of high school.
Start the program with the module that matches your language skills.
The German partner universities offer graduates of the Study Bridge program comprehensive course guidance at the start of their studies, as well as throughout their stay.
Every year a specific number of spots at the partner universities are made available for participants of the Study Bridge program. After completing their studies, graduates will have a strong foundation to pursue successful careers.
DAAD supports the Study Bridge program by providing counseling and guidance to facilitate the best possible start for the program participants’ studies in Germany.
