1) Ops 10 No5ChopinAs a child piano and music has always been a
part of my life. Chopin reminds me
over things that occur every day in my life. Ops 10 No 5, a fast
tempo song, tells me
about a happy moment strolling in the park. The progressing
crescendo in the beginning
expresses the start of the happy moment and the strong finish
makes the song feel
complete. Complete meaning the song sounds like an
accomplishment expressed by theplayer. Playing the song, I feel the
song ties back to me growing as a person. Through
piano, I have found a love for music and understand how to enjoy
every song I hear.
More importantly this song is important to me because it was one
classical song that Iplayed with my dad. Having a musical
background, I feel that it really brings my family
together and make us grow to love music more.
2) You Raise Me UpSelahI chose this song because I am reminded
of my love from my country. The theme
of the song talks about support the needy people. The song
begins talking about the
hardships of the needy and how they are so weary. To express
this song it starts piano and
progress towards the middle becomes more forte. The song
collects to my life because ofmy country and my work with Bridging
Hope. For my country, when listening to the
song I am reminded about my charity work as a child. Doing the
charity work, I was able
to see that the country was shielded by globalization. The
globalization blinds people
from seeing the poor towns and parts of Vietnam. Regarding my
work with BridgingHope, I help women and children in Vietnam who
are in need. Bridging Hope, a non-
profit organization, helps women and children with HIV/AIDS,
food, shelter, and many
other needs. Working with them, I have grown to love my country
of Vietnam even more.3) Hok SanSingapore Wenyang Sports
Association
Hok san is type of drumming in lion dancing I learned over the
summer. The lion
dance to me helps me learn about myself and how to appreciate
others around me more.The song is built with many tempos,
crescendos and diminuendos. The different
measures of the song express how the lion wakes, walks, eats,
and sleeps. The lion dance
brings excitement to the crowd with a single beat of the drum
and clash of the symbol
and gong. To me lion dancing has helped me respect my peers and
learn more aboutleadership. The music of lion dancing takes a lot
of practice and trust. All the cymbal
players look at the drummer as a conductor to tell them what to
play. Through that
experience, I am able to learn how to see my peers as my
conductors and make a more
beautiful harmony with them as a team.
4) I wont give up Jason MrazA song about endurance, I chose this
song because of a relationship I am going through.
The song talks about a relationship beginning broken, but the
person is willing to wait for the

relationship to start up again. The song has a piano sound to it
which makes it really sad, but the
major sound played by the singer makes it feel hopeful. With
these two components combined,
the song feels like a bad break up, but the singer is hopeful
know that they will be together again.For my girlfriend and me we
are feeling the same thing, but we do not know if we will back
together. I feel that she is hopeful that we will come back
together, but I doubt that we will.
Listening to the song over and over again, I have grown to hope
more and always be there for herno matter what.5) That manHyun

That Man, a Korean song, tells about a relationship between a
man and woman. I choose
this song because of my decisions with a girl that I love so
dearly. I told her that Ill always befor her like a beggar like the
song states in the lyrics. The song is in a minor key and piano
making the song very mellow. The artist makes you feel that the
guy is hurting, but he will
patiently wait for the girl to fall in love with him. This song
really touches me because I want to
be able to that for my girlfriend. I want to be a person that is
not in a relationship with her, but isthe guy that wants for her to
see my love for her again. My heart wants to be there for her,
while
she explores the vast sea and tries to find her way. In a way, I
feel like a beggar asking for her to
see my own selfishness.
