Titans have a unique campus
advantage.
We don’t just talk about the
importance of a student-centered
campus. We demonstrate it every day.
Titans benefit from small class sizes,
a campus that can support academic
and student life and a faculty that is
dedicated to teaching. It’s easy to see
why Titans succeed—students are at
the heart of all that we do.

An education from
UW Oshkosh is
a transformative
experience. Your time
here will inspire you,
shape you and broaden
your horizons.
The UW Oshkosh traditions of
academic excellence, research
and sustainability mean everything
we do is done with a global
perspective. And our students
agree—Titans challenge themselves
and those around them every day
to make a difference.
UNIVERSITY HONORS PROGRAM
High-achieving students at
UW Oshkosh benefit from the
University Honors Program (UHP),
which is an academic community
that tailors to the research, academic
and career goals of honors students.
Incoming freshmen with a score of 26
or higher on their ACT and qualifying
GPAs are invited to join. Students who
meet certain academic criteria can also
join after their first semester on campus.
The student-faculty relationship is at
the center of UHP. Courses in UHP
are similar to the general education
courses that all students take, but
they are smaller, have more faculty
interaction and are more discussion-
based. Additionally, they include
increased opportunities for research
and outside experiences that enhance
academic learning. Learn more about UHP at uwosh.edu/honors
ALUMNI
When you graduate from UW Oshkosh
you earn a place in our proud
85,500-member alumni community.
Alumni chapters across the country
offer benefits to UW Oshkosh alumni,
including social and networking events.
Chapters span from Los Angeles to
Metro New York and many places in
between. Once a Titan, always a Titan.
STUDENT-CENTERED RESEARCH APPROACH
UW Oshkosh is a research-enhanced
public university. Research projects are
student-centered, collaborative and help
build critical thinking skills. UW Oshkosh
faculty members have a strong focus on
teaching, while maintaining impressive
research and publishing credentials.
All classes are taught by professors, not
teaching assistants, and low faculty-to-
student ratios mean that students work
directly with faculty to conduct, publish
and present research.
Titans are problem solvers on a global
scale, with research projects like geographic
mapping across the U.S., studying wild
orangutans in Indonesia and improving the
health of beaches and water tables. Learn

can do to change the world.
Degree programs like Environmental
Engineering Technology and Sustainable
Management focus on forward-looking
sustainability problems, and every
student gains an understanding of
global responsibility through our
general education program. Learn
