What to see in Niagara Falls Niagara Falls and the Niagara Region are considered one of the “gems” of Ontario… and I’d look to spending as a MINIMUM one OVERNIGHT in the area… 2 Nights would be best… as there is a lot too see and do in the Niagara Peninsula (the area of land that lies between the two Great Lakes of Lake Erie & Lake Ontario). On both sides of the Niagara River you’ll find the State / Provincial Governments have set up parkland… that features the two sets of Falls… The Canadian Horseshoe Falls and the American Falls (including Bridal Veil Falls). What to see in Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls and the Niagara Region are considered one of the “gems” of Ontario… and I’d look to spending as a MINIMUM one OVERNIGHT in the area… 2 Nights would be best… as there is a lot too see and do in the Niagara Peninsula (the area of land that lies between the two Great Lakes of Lake Erie & Lake Ontario).

On both sides of the Niagara River you’ll find the State / Provincial Governments have set up parkland… that features the two sets of Falls… The Canadian Horseshoe Falls and the American Falls (including Bridal Veil Falls).

There is a ton to see and do in this parkland around The Falls… as well as alongside in the commercial areas of Niagara Falls, Ontario and Niagara Falls, New York including on the Canadian side…

The Niagara Falls IMAX Movie - Daredevil Museum – Table Rock & the Brink of the Falls – Canadian Horseshoe Falls - Niagara Fury – Journey Behind the Falls – Maid of the Mist – Queen Victoria Park & Oakes Garden Theatre – Clifton Hill (and the many Arcades) – Niagara Skywheel - Rainbow Bridge – Bird Kingdom – Whirlpool Rapids - White Water Walk – Spanish Aero Car – Helicopters – Niagara Showhouse – Botanical Gardens – Butterfly Conservatory – Floral Clock – Sir Adam Beck Generating Station – Queenston Heights Park – Brock Monument – Laura Secord Homestead – the Niagara JetBoats – and Marineland

And on the US side with the Niagara Falls State Park… NF State Park Welcome Centre – Niagara Adventure Theater – The American Falls – Bridal Veil Falls – Goat Island – Luna Island – Three Sisters Island – The Observation Tower at Prospect Point – Terrapin Point – Great Lakes Garden – Cave of the Winds – Maid of the Mist – Niagara Gorge Discovery Center – the Aquarium of Niagara – and Fort Niagara

And then… Niagara By Night (Nightly Illuminations - Weekly Fireworks and Niagara Nightlife). Possible things to do in the evening include - Dinner Theatre... Greg Frewin (Magician) - Oh Canada Eh (Musical Satire about Canada and Canadians) - The Buttery (King Henry Feast) – Bars & Nightclubs – Comedy Clubs - Casinos (19+ years old) - Shaw Festival (live Theatre in Niagara-on-the-Lake).

ADD to all this the rest of the Niagara Region…

Historic Niagara-on-the-Lake (just down the Niagara Parkway), Vineyards & Orchards, Wineries (Ontario's Premier Wine Region), Great Lake Beaches, Conservation Areas (Hiking), Bike Paths, Shaw Festival Theatre, Historic Sites (War of 1812 and Terminus of the Underground Railway), Welland Canal and the giant Staircase Locks at Thorold… as well as Old Fort Erie

AND, I haven’t even touched upon the US Side of the Falls… and the nearby Finger

Lakes Region of Upstate NY !!

To be honest, this is just the “tip of the iceberg” the more “featured” attractions… there truly is a ton of stuff to choose from including Award Winning Accommodations, Dining, Spas, Shopping etc. … one could easily spend a week in the Niagara Region.

Two or three days is a good amount of time… but be sure to allow yourself also some time to explore the area that lies beyond just The Falls themselves… best done with a rental car (easy enough to organize for a day-trip if one likes)… but one can certainly take an organized Motorcoach Tour as well to see and enjoy Wine Country – Historic Niagara-on-the-Lake – the Welland Canal etc.
