In Reception you will have a malleable area inside your classroom, just like Nursery. You might have playdough, jelly, slime etc.

Today’s challenge - Have your own dough disco. Put on some music, get you playdough and squeeze it, roll it, pinch it and pat it to the music.

Here’s a recipe to make your own ‘no cook’ playdough; 2 cups of plain flour, ½ a cup of salt, 2 tablespoons of cream of tartar, 2 tablespoons of oil

(vegetable, baby or coconut oil), 1 to 1 ½ cups of boiling water and a few drops of food colouring. Just mix all the ingredients together to form a

dough.

In Reception you will have a writing area both inside your classroom and in the outside area, just like Nursery. The will be lots of chances for you to

show what you have been learning in your phonics lessons as there will be clipboards and whiteboards in the other areas of your classroom and

outside area too.
