with pretty archways. We had some memorable dinner parties. That was the year I had my first cell phone. Communication was different then! I remember coming home from parties with phone numbers written on little pieces of paper or in matchbooks.

What does it mean to be a valley girl? A valley girl has a true style that comes from her heart. She is DIY, hardworking and a real straight shooter. She will do anything for her friends and family. She is super fun at parties and sharp as a tack in business. You can take her anywhere. Actually she can take herself.

Describe an average day in your life: I’ll take an average Monday. In the mornings I get to walk around Orange with these amazing 7th and 8th graders who are writing a textbook for 3rd graders about their city. It is such a great project and I learn so much from the students. Then I usually have a lunch meeting with Mindy or Khemani who are project advisors. The afternoon is usually spent meeting about upcoming events and projects, working on propos-als or hosting guests who are interested in learning about what we do. People are excited to learn about our free people’s university and our amazing arts collective. Mondays at 7PM we have ORNG Ink powows where we all get together to talk about life at the stu-dio. Then it’s over to Hat City Kitchen for a pint with my crew. What is your guilty pleasure: chocolate frosted donuts at supreme bakeryWhat is your favorite coffee shop: I like the cappuccinos at that place on Lincoln Avenue with the sign that says Lemon Ice.What is your drink at the bar? margaritas when they are made with real lime juice and occasionally a whiskey or two. What is your favorite restaraunt in New York City? Once it is cold I love to go out for ramen. But I am going to have to shout out to some spots in in downtown Jersey City. Madame Claude’s is the loveliest French bistro, Taqueria has fantastic tacos and I could not get through winter without the pho at Nha Trang.
