Lesson 4

Learning challenge: I can write a dialogue between two characters.

Follow this link to watch this video:

https://vimeo.com/14595555

Today we will be focusing on what the characters might say to one another.

Ask someone in your house to act out the video with you. One of you being the boy and the other being the Grandad. What would the characters be saying to each other throughout their cloudy lesson?

Below are four pictures from the video complete with speech bubbles. Complete the speech bubbles for each character. Think about what the characters are saying to each other at each point of the video. How are they feeling? What are they doing? The characters may be asking the other person a question.

Don’t forget to use your speech marks when beginning and finishing your speech.

“I can make shapes out of fluffy white clouds”

“How do you do that Grandad?”

Once you have finished read your dialogue aloud, have you followed the plot of the film?
