The agents came from Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka and Morioka via Philippine Airlines flights. GMCAC facilitated an airport inspecon and welcome dinner event for the parcipants. Philippines AirAsia started their Cebu – Kalibo (Boracay) direct service last June 19 using A320 aircraft. The daily flight replaced their Caticlan service launched last April.

The Japanese Association of Travel Industries in Cebu, in partnership with the Department of Tourism Region 7, Philippine Airlines and GMR Megawide Cebu Airport Corporation, hosted 24 travel agents from Japan on a familiarization tour from July 5-9, 2017.
