assumptions underlying any of the foregoing.
These statements are based on estimates and
information available to us at the time of this presentation

✓ consistency in the two kinds of meetings so that a phone-only host can start either kind of webex meeting.
If site admin has enabled the following option for webex scheduled meetings (enabled by default), then the host will

The legacy media resilience protocol (FLUX) will soon be deprecated.
Predicted version where the feature will become deprecated is RoomOS 10.7.x
Background:
• Media resilience protocols are present to make media resilient to loss in lossy networks.
• RoomOS 10 has support for a more effective protocol (Media Assurance) which is also supported by CE 9 and is
used on all supported backends. Media Assurance is the primary resilience protocol that is used today.
• FLUX has been kept for backwards compatibility with endpoints running TC7.x software.
• With the depreciation of support for FLUX, 1:1 calling between a TC7.x and RoomOS 10.7.x devices may in lossy
network environments experience degraded media quality.

Security is a big subject for Cisco. With the release of August RoomOS we are now supporting End to End Encryption.
The identity of the meeting participants can be verified as part of the End to End Encryption. The verification is based
on a certificate that is used to join the shared MLS group
A certificate can be issued to a device in two ways.
1. Webex can issue certificates based on the access token of the user account signed by the Webex Certificate
Authority (CA)
2. An organization admin can generate and provision an external certificate signed by a public CA.
For true and secure E2EE, an external certificate should be used.
