Everyday Chevaltravels along the river Drôme from village to village, quiet andalone he enjoys the solitude of his rounds, daydreaming about aworld full of wonder he can only imagine through postcards. After his wife, Philomena gives birth to their daughter Alice, Chevaldecides to build Alice a palace fit for a princess. With only his barehands, his love for his daughter and the dedication of his wife, hestarts carefully collecting stones and begins building the historicallyclassified monument, The Ideal Palace.
