demands and to incorporate a large number of

special features. Additionally a wide range of new

pavement specifications and legal requirements

have to be met.

The versatile and reliable Dynapac pavers,

equipped with an excellent technique, are well

suited to meet the demands of varying construction

applications, including highway and urban road

construction, road maintenance or repair work.

Dynapac wheeled pavers are well known for

their reliability over many years of operation with

a wide range of applications.

In combination with their flexibility these

machines are the ideal choice for paving urban

roads. In response to the needs of end users and

the construction industry a wide range of optional

equipment is available which further enhances their

Compact hydraulic drive motors for the conveor and for

the typical outside auger drive as well as valves with quick

and proportional response to any function of the machine

are supplied from well known suppliers. Each maintenance

point is being located well accessible and for easy service all

valves are located under the operator´s station.

Hydraulical components

Key features

Independent hydraulic drive motors can be installed on both

front drive axles, increasing the traction effort by up to 25%.

An integrated antispin control prevents the driven front

wheels from spinning when operating on slippy surface or

loose material. Big rear drive wheels on both pavers provide

the traction required to easily handle larger laying widths.

As a result of this laying widths of up to 8,2 m are possible,

even on insecure ground.

Traction

The clearly arranged instrument panel can be placed in any

position across the entire width of the operator s platform, so the

driver can easily monitor and control each displayed function. As a

solid protection against vandalism a lockable steel cover is being

delivered with each paver as standard equipment. In addition to

this Dynapac provides safety glass fibre canopy, which can be

equipped with a foldable windscreen and folding screens on the

left and right sides to protect the operators against all weather

conditions. Additionally a rear roof extension can be chosen as

an optional for soft and hard top canopy type.

Comfort

Powerful, reliable liquid cooled diesel engines guaratee high

traction forces, a high oil flow rate and adequate hydraulic

pressure for operating under the most arduous conditions.

An electronic feed back controller maintains the adjusted

engine rpm for a constant paving speed together with the

preset material supply and compaction settings as these are

of paramount importance for ensuring the surfacing material

is being placed and compacted to a uniform level.

Key features

Besides the conventional gas heating Dynapac now offers

the electrical heating system for their pavers. Each of the

screed sections is adjusted by use of a key pad and a dis-

play is showing the actual temperature. Additionally the

control box can be equipped with two displays showing

the tamper and vibration frequencies, which can be set

by potentiometer.

Screed heating

The sliding seat ensures the operator has a full view to the

guide bar, to the front end of the machine and to the lorry

driver when the hopper is open. This option also includes

the possibility to slide the control station beyond the sides

of the paver.

Visibility

A fully automatic material feed system together with a gener-

ously dimensioned feed tunnel ensures unrestricted distri-

bution of material. The left and right auger can be operated

independently and are equipped with a reversible drive. The

compact and small design of the auger drive ensures uninter-

rupted flow of material at any time and by that considerably

influences the avoidance of segregation traces.

Material distribution

The robust and low hopper design combined with a high

material capacity is one of the main features of these com-

pact paver fi nishers. The material hopper, with a maximum

open width of 3.40 metres has adequate space even when

negotiating corners and operating together with big trucks.

Optionally the hopper can beequipped with hydraulically

operated front flaps (see „Options“).

Wheeled pavers offer the great advantage of being able to move independently. This enables them to change location without costly trailer transportation.

The wheeled pavers licensed for use on public roads can reach a transportation speed of 20 km/h and therefore offer a great degree of flexibility.

Transport

Hydraulic direct drive

Optionally Dynapac wheeled pavers can be fitted with an additional, electrically engagable front wheel drive. This option can be choosen for either one or both front axles. An increase in traction force of 25% can be implemented by these measures. If a paver is fitted with front wheel drive, an

anti-spin system is being installed automatically. This additional drive system can be engaged and disengaged by the driver and allows the different amount of traction force required by the paver (depending on the construction site) to be adapted to the condi-tions of use.

Front wheel drive with anti-spin system

The Dynapac F121W/D as well as the F141W/D is equipped with a new hydraulic direct drive system. The advantages of this special drive system are characteristic: the main drive is fitted as a wheel hub - direct drive to a two-speed planetary gearbox with hydraulic differential lock. A disengagement fixture and a disc-type parking brake are part of the system. The integrated anti-spin system ensures perfect traction, finely tuned to all installation requirements.

Traction - Front axle yoke

The oszillating front axle bogie of the Dynapac wheeled paver is housed asymmetrically. Smaller areas of unevenness are compensated by this kind of suspension, even in the steering wheel area. The drive wheels (generously dimen-sioned) on 3-axle units provide the traction

required to easily handle larger laying widths.On the 4-axle units, the required traction is provided by the total contact surface of the drive wheels. As a result of this constellation, laying is possible with large operating widths of up to 8,2 m, even on insecure ground.

For the Dynapac wheeled pavers turning in narrow roads or on roads with insecure edging doesn´t create any problem. For example the Dynapac F121W/D and the F141W/D show an inner turning radius of 2,8 m. Even the 4-axle units are also char-acterised by a very small turning radius and likewise provide a great degree of flexibility at that kind of application area mentioned above.

Electronic system PLC (Programmable Logic Control)The PLC system regulates and monitors operational functions of the tracked paver. Gaining greater paving accuracy

Front wheel drive and anti-spin controlIndependent hydraulic drive motors can be installed on one or both of the front drive axles, increasing the tractive effort by up to 25%. Water ballasted drive tyresThe tractive effort of the paver can be further improved by the addition of a suitable liquid to the tyres of the drive wheels, this is recommended when operating on loose material or placing wide pavements.

Levelling systemsTo meet the increased demands regarding laydown precision and quality, grade and slope controllers are being used. These devices check the current position of the screed compared to a default reference (string line, ground, gutter, laser) and corrects if necessary. Well known suppliers of these levelling systems recently offered new product developments which our customers can choose from. Dynapac offers a wide variety of different levelling systems like analogue contact, ultrasonic non-contact or laser scanning types.

Options

Automatic central lubricationThe optional electrically powered, automatic central lubrication system provides both the tractor and the complete screed with grease. Parts and areas requiring regular lubricationare are being supplied with the special amount of lubricant to be pre-selected to meet the operating conditions of the paver.

Options

Height adjustment of augersAdjustable auger height is a standard feature. However there are optional methods of height adjustment to make this operation faster and with less effort. Pavers can be fitted with either mechanically operated ratchets or twin hydraulic cylinders.

Ultrasonic control of conveyors and augersContact type proportional controls are supplied as standard equipment to control the material flow from the hopper and across the screed. If desirable this feature can be replaced by ultrasonic controls with the advantage of non-contact sensing.

Hopper Front flapsWith a hopper size of 5,7 m³ at an opened width of more than 3,0 m these pavers feature high load capacities. Optional hydraulically operated hopper front flaps avoid material fallingonto the pushroller bar together with separately operated wings help to empty the hopper completely.

For easy and even more efficient operation

Reversible conveyorFor paving thick layers and at for working at maximum working width Dynapac , as an option, offers close – space conveyor bars to ensure maximum material flow. In addition to this feature the two halves of the conveyor can be operated individually variable – even in reversible mode -, which protects material from falling rearwards when the material tunnel is filled with mix in driving mode.

Electrical screed heatingThis new type of heating system combines the advantages of thefollowing features:• Automatically operated generator (matching demand)• Direct heat transfer and even distribution of temperature• Accurate, infinitely controlled temperature• Simple, clear operation• Best possible personal protection by insulation monitoring
