The Uprising is a four-day summer camp that seeks to focus students in their call to follow Jesus. This is the 2nd year of the camp and we are excited aboutour new location in Panama City Beach. Churches from George County, Greene County, and Jackson County have come together in order to disciple students and equip them to share the Gospel in their contexts. We seek to provide a quality camp at an affordable price for churches of every size. We also enjoy partnering with many different congregations in order to demonstrate to students the continuity of the Body of Christ.

What is required to reserve my students a spot at camp?o A non-refundable deposit of $25 per student is due by April 5th.o Only 175 spots are available for camp so reserve yours ASAP.

How do I buy T-shirts and books for my students?o Each church is responsible for purchasing shirts and books for their

2019 Summer Camp Dress Code

General All clothing should be modest and comfortable. We will be serving at several different

mission sites and each site will require tennis shoes and modest, older clothing. It will also be quite hot at our camp location so each student should account for the climate (modest shorts, t-shirts, hat, and sunglasses).

Each student leader is responsible for the dress of the students from their church. If a student is found to be in violation of the dress code, it will be up to the student’s leader to address the issue. Each student should abide by these clothing guidelines:

o Shorts that run to the length of one’s fingers when standing straight, gym shorts are the suggestion for camp. Skirts must also be finger length.

o Tennis shoes and flip flops (or some type of shower shoe/water shoe).o Shirts that do not contain any questionable or obscene images or wording.o Shirts are not required when swimming but will be required when walking.

Gentlemen Do not Wear

o Speedos (swim wear must be trunks and follow the standard rule for shorts at camp).

o Muscle shirts/tank tops that reveal the sides or back of the student.o Tight clothing or clothing that reveals undergarments.

Ladies To Wear

o Full coverage tank tops.o Single-piece swimsuit (two piece may be worn only if a dark t-shirt is worn over

it). Tankinis may be worn but must be deemed modest by the student leader. One may need to wear shorts if deemed necessary.

Do not Wearo Spaghetti straps.o Bralettes, no undergarments are to be exposed.o Shoes with high heels. Comfortable shoes are suggested for camp.
