Year 2 Recounts Yesterday, Kinder/1/2 went to Mansfield Zoo. We saw monkeys, peacocks, lions, ferrets, ostriches, Texas longhorns, meerkats, guinea pigs, dingoes, camels, antelope deer and a cockatoo. We each had a group. My group was me, Blake, Oliver, Lane, Lucas and mum. We got to feed the animals with a spade or by hand. I didn’t feed Tim the alligator or the lions. I fed deer, the ostrich, the emu, camels and Texas longhorns. After that we went back on the bus. We went back to Benalla and had afternoon tea at Benalla Park. There was heaps of stuff to play on. There was a rocket and I kept climbing it. By Declan

Yesterday K/1/2 went on excursion to Mansfield Zoo to see the animals. When we got to Mansfield Zoo we had recess. First we did a tour of the Zoo. The lady was called Bronwyn. She showed us the Zoo. We saw camels, dingos, guinea pigs, lions and so much more. Some were let out loose like deer and llamas and peacocks. We saw black buck antelope deer, they were good. After lunch we went into groups and it was fun. Charlie, Molly, mum and Charlotte were in my group. I had so much fun. By Lexie

Yesterday K/1/2 went on an excursion to Mansfield Zoo. We saw lots of awesome animals like camels and emus. A zoo keeper named Bronwyn gave us a tour and told us some interesting facts about the animals. After that we went in a smaller group. In my group there was Tahlia, Wyatt, Luke, my brother Patrick and me. My mum led my group. My favourite animal was the meerkats. We watched them get fed. We got to feed the ostrich and the emus with our hands. They pecked our hands but it didn’t hurt. The emu had a sharp beak but the ostrich had a round beak. I had a fantastic day at Mansfield Zoo. By Ruby

K/1/2 Mansfield Zoo Excursion K/1/2 had a fabulous day last Thursday visiting the Mansfield Zoo. They got to see lots of different animals and were even able to feed some using a spade or straight from their hand. Thanks to Tara, Gen, Hannah, Cath, Sylvia, Lesley, Karen, Sarah, Carolyn and Donna for your assistance on the day.
