MAHLE North AmericaMAHLE in North America ended 2017 with over 16,500 employees occupying more than 32 cities. MAHLE is represented in the region by the business units; Engine Systems and Components, Filtration and Engine Peripherals, Thermal Management and Aftermarket. Engine Systems and Components, Filtration and Engine Peripherals and Thermal Management business units also have R&D facilities in the United States.

Additionally, operating in North America is the profit center En- gineering Services. MAHLE Industries, Incorporated, the service company, covers the areas of Finance, Human Resources, Infor- mation Technology, Legal, Marketing & Communications, Sales & Application Engineering and Treasury for all locations in the USA and Canada. Likewise, a service function for Finance and Administrative support for the local companies was established in Mexico.

All light vehicle and truck OEM’s with production operations in North America are supplied by MAHLE. Beyond this, MAHLE also supplies products to other Tier 1 suppliers operating within Engine Systems and Components, Filtration and Engine Peripherals and Thermal Management.

Motorsports customers in the region are served by operations within our Engine Systems and Components and Aftermarket business units.

In North America, MAHLE also owns locations for the Compressors, Mechatronics, and Industrial Thermal Management profit centers.

Your development partner for individual solutionsBeing ISO 9001:2015, ISO/TS 16949:2016 and ISO 14001:2015 certified, MAHLE is specialized in all aluminum cooling solutions for engines from 200kw up to 2000kw and will solve your power-train cooling needs for any Defense ground vehicle and other challenging industrial needs.

Our US location can deliver not only American made systems but also on-site program management, product engineering, prototyping and testing, as well as aftersales support with spare parts and complete systems overhauling.

MAHLE will provide individual cooling applications in the form of single components or complete cooling modules including radiators, charge air coolers, oil coolers and transmission coolers, including the matching axial or radial fan systems.

All MAHLE components are designed and produced to meet any current or future customer standards that are required.

Our service is more than customer care As a specialized service division of MAHLE, MAHLE Industrial Thermal Systems Services, produces, and distributes all of the necessary cooling and air conditioning components and spare parts for your applications. Customized design for the toughest conditions Our application-specific cooling components and systems for military and other special vehicles are designed to be so robust that they support the performance and reliability of engines and transmissions under any and all conditions. Compact packages

COOLING

Engines and transmissions in wheeled and tracked vehicles must not fail, even under the toughest loads

Precise thermal design of your systems Using MAHLE’s thermal management design tool, heat exchangers can be precisely designed and analyzed from a thermodynamic perspective, and complete cooling systems can be simulated.

Continuous ongoing development Heat exchangers, as the core of our cooling systems, are conti- nuously being developed. We are leaders in the development of novel air fins that resist contamination, innovative solutions for multicircuit heat exchangers, and low-cost, flexible cooler concepts.

Efficient fan impellers reduce noise and weight We are constantly adapting the line of fans made from composite material and aluminum, on the basis of new knowledge and requirements, and continue to develop them further. The fan family „Radial Progressline“ provides innovative solutions with high efficient radial fans.

Precise test bench measurement of coolers and fans on test benches All tests required for product validation are carried out in our own laboratory: shock and vibration tests, thermal performance measurements, thermal and pressure cycle tests, and performance measurements on complete cooling systems, all the way to complete type testing. Climate chambers and climate wind tunnels are also available for your specific specialized measurements.

FEM and CFD simulations for maximum reliability Members of the Product Validation Team within our R&D department run simulations on strength-critical components in parallel with the design process. Using CFD simulations, they determine air and heat flows, and pressure and temperature distribution on components and complete systems, even before the first part is produced.
