Brio’s Locking Solution for folding doorsLarge, folding doors which open your inside world to the outdoors are a luxury but security is a necessity which is why Brio has developed the 286 Dual Point Lock. Specifically designed to suit wood and aluminum folding panels to offer a single action handle as a stylish alternative to two flush bolts.

Our patented design fully integrates with Brio’s Weatherfold 4s with no fuss fixing hinge points but can also be used with single hinged panels

(i.e. French doors). 180° operation of the low profile lever, delivers ultimate strength security of a 1” throw into the head and sill simultaneously for panels up to 11’6” high.

The integrated face plate for locking options produces an elegant and minimalist aesthetic while the Euro cylinder provides high security and a convenient low profile key, specifically developed for use with folding panels.

PerformanceWith a handle height of 35” - 43” and capacity to lock panels 11’6” high and 13⁄8” - 23⁄4” thick (aluminum) the Brio 286 Dual Point Lock is the true solution to securing folding panels.

Capable of inward opening applications as well as standard outward opening orientation. Cycle tested in excess of 100,000 operations gives Brio the confidence to offer our usual 10 year warranty.

MaterialsBrio’s new 286 Dual Point Lock is produced with quality in mind therefore its throw tips are made from stainless steel and the handle furniture is available in cast stainless steel to provide corrosion-resistant performance.

FinishesThe discreet 286 Dual Point Lock is supplied in different finishes for matching flexibility. The cast stainless steel handle is available in satin stainless or PVD Black.

SecurityOperation of the 286 Dual Point Lock is simple and secure with a 1” throw for either wood or aluminum panels. Wood panels are locked off with a cleat made from 9⁄16”x 3⁄16” stainless steel bar while aluminum panels are secured by a Ø1⁄2” stainless steel “D” tip.

The intelligent design is discreetly hidden inside the aluminum stile or in the edge of a wood panel with minimal machining and quick fixing points thanks to the patented hinge blocks. Keeper options allow for neat dressing and accurate alignment of the throw and panel which improves the performance of perimeter weather seals.

Door FurnitureThe 286 Dual Point Lock provides options for selecting the right handle from our family of door furniture. The cast stainless steel handle is available in satin stainless or PVD black. The dual point lock is available in non-locking or locking with a discreet back plate which hides fixing screws when handle is down. Locking handle is supplied with a high quality Euro cylinder and specifically designed low profile key.
