questions at the end.

• Learning Objective: Given information, the students will answer questions pertaining to the provided information with 100% accuracy.

• Content Standard 3.0: Geography enables the students to see,

understand and appreciate the web of relationships between people, places, and environments. Students will use the knowledge, skills, and understanding of concepts within the six essential elements of geography: world in spatial terms, places and regions, physical systems, human systems, environment and society, and the uses of geography.

• Accomplishments: SPI 7.3.spi.2. locate the Earth's major physical characteristics (i.e., 7 continents, 4 oceans).

These are the 7 Continents• There are 7 continents: North America, South

America, Africa, Asia, Europe, Antarctica, and Australia.

• Every continent, except Australia, is made up of multiple countries.

• Australia is also the smallest continent, and the only one surrounded completely by water. It is also the only continent that is made up of only one country.

• Asia houses the largest country in existence- Russia

And the Rest of the World is Water

• There are 4 oceans: Pacific, Atlantic, Arctic, and the Indian.

• The largest of the oceans is the Pacific, which is located between Asia’s East coast and North America’s West coast.

• The Pacific Ocean and the Indian Ocean, together, completely surround Australia.

• The Arctic Ocean is the coldest, and it lies in the Northernmost part of the world.

• The warmest ocean is the Indian Ocean, which is South of Asia, East of Africa, and West of Australia.
