Putting The Bible Into Practice:Read 2 Kings 14:25, Matthew 12:38-41 & Jonah 1. Why does Jonah run from God? What do we learn from Psalm 139? When have you run from God? How did it work? From Jonah 1:4, 11-15, who controls the storm? Has God ever sent a storm in your life to bring you back?
What is lost in Jonah 1:8. How has your disobedience led to loss in your life? How didJonah’s sin aect the people around him? How have you been impacted by others’ sins?Who has been impacted from your sin? Describe the sailors’ response to encountering God.
Are you running from the Word of the Lord? How & why? What is God doing to stop you from further hurting yourself? Read Joel 2:13 & Zechariah 1:3. How can you return to God?
Challenge:Meditate on Psalm 51. Surrender, confess & return as God leads and the Spirit empowers.
