Venerable ZaChoeje Rinpoche will offer instruction and an
empowerment in the White Tara meditation practice and retreat. This
event will take place at the Merritt Center and Lodge in Payson,
AZ.
White Tara is considered an enlightened emanation of the
feminine aspect of compassion, one who applies active wisdom to
alleviate the suffering of sentient beings. By identifying with the
compassion-
ate aspect of White Tara in meditation, we are able to remove
fears and obstacles that create suffering in our lives and the
lives of others. White Tara practice brings us courage to see
things from a sky-like perspective and bring health and longevity
into our lives.
EVENT: Rinpoche will confer the White Tara empowerment and will
give instruction on the retreat on Saturday and Sunday May 31-
June1, 2008. There will be a dinner Friday Night May 30 at 7:00 PM.
For those receiving the Empowerment it is traditional to take vows
of freedom for behavior and diet.
REGISTRATION AND FACILITY: The cost for this special event will
be $270 for the entire weekend. This includes room, board, 3
meals/day, and ceremony. Rooms are double occupancy and details
will be e-mailed a few weeks before the reatreat. The cost for the
one day empowerment and teaching on Saturday is $75, however no one
will be turned away from the one-day event for lack of funds. Full
Payment is required at the time of registration and is
non-refundable unless Emaho cancels the event. If you are unable to
attend, you may count the payment as a tax-deductible donation to
Emaho Foundation. Space is limited for this event so
pre-registration is mandatory. Anyone who would like to stay the
weekend after full capac-ity is reached may be placed on a wait
list in case of any cancellations. Deadline for Registration is
