behavior.

children learn appropriate behavior. These sessions will provide
general information on key strategies that may be used with all
children; however, sessions are not designed to offer parents
specific advice for their child’s individual issues. At the conclusion

Suburban basketball is a competitive play league for all girls who reside within the Tantasqua regional school
district (Brimfield, Brookfield, Holland, Sturbridge, or Wales) or a school choice student in the Union 61 district.
Pioneer Valley Girls Suburban Basketball is the best playing opportunity for girls in grades 5-8 wishing to play
competitive travel basketball as part of the Tantasqua community. To learn more the league website is below:
http://www.leaguelineup.com/welcome.asp?url=pvgirlsbasketball
Attendance at one of the two tryout sessions is mandatory for team consideration. Participation at both sessions is
highly encouraged. Girls selected into the league should consider this their first athletic priority over other activities
since there are limited spots.
Practices will begin late October / early November with game play starting in early December and running through
February including playoffs. The regular season consists of 16 games against towns generally west of Sturbridge,
with most travel times within 45 minutes. Playoffs start at the conclusion of the regular season. League cost is
approximately $170 per player.
