By Stephen R Covey

Students have been practicing and using the 7 Habits all year and this week will really have to focus on using the Sixth habit-Synergize This habit focuses on the idea that we can work together to come up with better solutions to any issue or task than any single one of us could come up with alone It also says that instead of ldquomy wayrdquo or ldquoyour wayrdquo we should both work together to make ldquoa higher wayrdquo Think about it working together is what helps geese fly thousands of miles when they migrate around this time every year Itrsquos why the rhinoceros lets the little bird sit on its back and eat bugs They work together to come up with better solutions than they could alone They need each other to survive and we need each other to create better solutions to everyday problems and tasks When we work together we must listen and learn from each other This is so important in any job family or school We can truly all benefit from synergizing so letrsquos all work together to become better leaders So parents ask your kids what they are learning about the 7 Habits Ask them what it means to Synergize Together think of some ways that you all can use this habit in your own home so that everyone works together We are all in this together and it is bound to be a wonderful adventure as we grow and develop as leaders at Whitesville Elementary

Dear WES Family and Friends

The holiday season is upon us and several of our WES families need help providing for their

children this Christmas We currently have 60 children whose parents needs help providing

Christmas joy You can help by sponsoring a child on the Angel Tree

Rather than asking each of you to shop for a child this year we are asking for a $50

donation per angel You can partner with a friend make a family donation or sponsor a

child in honor or memory of someone special in your life for only $50

Parents will shop for their children with Mrs Woolwine on a specified day to be decided

at a later date

The Angel Tree is in the schoolrsquos Front Lobby and will remain up thru Thursday December

11 or until all angels are sponsored Please make checks payable to Whitesville Elementary

School and indicate they are for the FRC Angel Tree

Thank you for sponsoring an Angel on our Angel Tree and helping to insure all of our WES children have a

very Merry Christmas

Warmest regards Anne Woolwine
