Suggested specification for Year 3 and Year 5 students in 2017: iPad Air 2 - 32GB wifi model (if 3G model is used, SIM card will need to be removed prior to the device coming to school) *If you have any questions regarding the device specifications or are experiencing difficulty with providing a device for your child for 2017, please contact the school. In 2017, full enrolment into the ZuluDesk management system will be compulsory for all students. In order to be ready to go at the start of 2017, if families have an existing iPad or have already purchased an iPad, parents are asked to bring the iPad into school for enrolment in term 4 this year. iPads can be left at the office in the morning and collected in the afternoon on these days. Dates for ZuluDesk enrolment are Tuesday 15th November Tuesday 22nd November The process of enrolment includes updating iPad software, renaming, allocating to a year level and linking to parent ZuluDesk accounts. As all settings and data will be erased during the enrolment process, the school asks that new iPads are left ‘as purchased’ and not set up in any way. If families are using an existing iPad, please follow the links below to backup data and ensure that iCloud is turned off on the iPad. iOS Photo Library Backup: Exporting to Mac/PC and using Google Photos iOS Backups with iCloud and Game Center Preparing your iOS Device for ZuluDesk Enrolment We will provide further information on iPad management within the school and home, school volume purchasing of apps, digital citizenship programs, staff professional development and ongoing parent information sessions in 2017.
