Racism interferes with how we define someone as a person.

We now have a system that incarcerates African Americans twice as long as whites who are charged with identical crimes.

In some cases, white suspects are literally allowed to get away with murder.

Even in 2014 this continues as Jordan Davis a 17 year old African American was killed by Michael Dunn a white male whom was not even convicted of murder.
