Elective Courses Elective Courses for Intermediate Spanish Certificate
• Spanish Advanced ConversationDevelop conversational skills and reading strategies through group discussions, dialogues, oral presentations and role playing.
• Spanish LiteratureReview Spanish literature and dive into different grammatical topics each week. Read and review pieces from various periods and types to enrich the understanding and mastery of the Spanish language.
• Spanish Advanced GrammarExtensive practice of grammatical concepts through relevant exercises and activities. Though this course is strictly grammar focused, related cultural information is presented to facilitate a deeper comprehension of linguistic structure and word choice.

s Required Courses Essential Spanish 1. Complete Spanish *
This module is the first of a comprehensive series of 5 courses.
Students will begin to understand culture and will know greetings, expressions, and academic lexicon.
* If you have a basic experience with the Spanish Language, you may not be required to register for this class. Contact us to determine eligibility.
2. Complete Spanish 1-4 (4 required courses)
Upon completion of this 4–course series, students will further their understanding of the Spanish culture,and will have a working vocabulary and a sound understanding of grammar concepts in the Spanish language.
Required CoursesIntermediate Spanish 1. Essential Spanish Certificate or equivalent
knowledge of the Spanish language.
2. Spanish Intermediate 1-3 (3 required courses)Review grammar structures, improve reading and understanding of real life materials, and improve and develop listening and writing abilities. Students will focus on reading, giving presentations, and having in class conversations.
3. Two Spanish Elective Courses, choose from:
