Isa 64:6 We are all infected and impure with sin. When

we display our righteous deeds, they are nothing but filthy rags. Like autumn leaves, we

wither and fall, and our sins sweep us away like the wind.


John 8:34-36 “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who

practices sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son

remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

Titus 2:11-14 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing

salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the

present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and

Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who

are zealous for good works.

Psalm 33:5 - He loves righteousness (tsedek) and justice (mishpat); the earth is full of the steadfast love of the Lord. Psalm 103:6 - The LORD works righteousness (tsedek) and justice (mishpat) for all who are oppressed.


James 1:27 Religion that is pure and undefiled

before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their

affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.


Micah 6:8 He has told you, O man, what is good;

and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love

kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

To “do justice” means to render to each what each is due. Justice involves harmony, flourishing, and fairness, and it is based on the image of God in every person—the Imago Dei—that grants all people inalienable dignity and infinite worth.”
