Problems we face from climate change

We are developing very rapidly

The west caused problems and now want us to fix them

We are the world’s largest emitter as a country but not per capita

What have we already done?

We have already cut our CO2 emissions by more than 6,000 tons per unit of GDP

Goal to cut carbon emissions per unit of GDP by 40-45% from 2005 levels before 2020. As opposed to US goal of 17%

Plan 15% renewable energy although may reach 20% by target of 2020

What we want to achieve at this conference

Mainly we want the west to help us out:• 40% decrease in emissions from west ( If

the world came to a global deal it would be 30%)

• Provide low carbon technology Want the US to co-operate with us on

issues of global warming and climate change
