What to expect at APPPEXPO 2014based on what we experienced at APPPEXPO 2013We recently attended a nice international printer and signage trade show. But there were, at most, only three brands of textile printers.

At APPPEXPO in the remarkable cosmopolitan city of Shanghai, you can expect up to

• 10calenderingmachines,• 24textileinkcompanies,• 42textileprinterbrands.

Yet at a giant signage expo in Guangzhou, there were less than three brands of textile printers (another Guangzhou expo had over a dozen brands, but the point is simple: if you want to see many different brands of textile printers for SIGNAGE and for interior room decoration, APPPEXPO in Shanghai is a good choice).

APPPEXPO 2013 had as many brands of calendaring machines as TWO other expos in China put together.

Plus APPPEXPO in Shanghai had 19 textile fabric and transfer paper companies.

For soft signage with wide-format inkjet printers, for printing fab-rics for interior décor (curtains, wall coverings, etc.), you can get a good general introduction by coming to Shanghai this July.

For 2014, FLAAR will again be present at the show. APPPEXPO is the largest signage printer expo in China; it is also one of the largest expos in the rest of the world. Since it is a huge expo it can be confusing at times, so at FLAAR we have prepared a report to help guide you through the world of textile printers. We are issuing two reports on textile printing:

But from six years experience attending textile-related expos in China, any time one brand disappears, another two brands appear to replace it.
