    Our stringent procedures to avoid

    the risk of procuring inappropriate

    or inadequate crew documents

    that might cause delays and

    detention of vessels in ports.

    WIDESEA Marine Services & Shipping Lines, Inc.

    performs the following measures:

    Ensure that Documents and Certificates of

    each and individual seafarer are valid for

    the term of their contract at a minimum.

    Training and Certificates must comply with

    the International Standard as per IMO and

    STCW 95, ISM & ISPS code; and that the required certificates are relevant of the

    crews position and type of vessels for which the seafarers have been hired.

    Crews must possess the appropriate flag

    state endorsement certificate and

    corresponding special qualifications,

    statutory certificates, and other

    requirements for the Vessels Flag Registry

  • Administration

    Seafarers are briefed and

    oriented on the policies and

    procedures of the Company, as

    Pre-Employment and Pre-Deployment

    Orientation of the Companys Safety Management System before joining on

    their assigned vessel. Ensure that the

    crew certificates and licenses are

    verified and authenticated by the issuing

    institution (PRC, TESDA, MTC, etc.).

    Dispatch

    WIDESEA Marine Services & Shipping Lines,

    Inc. - Can provide working cover-alls and

    safety shoes(PPE) if agreed with Principal

    upon dispatch, and can arrange airline

    tickets for departing and returning crews

    at lowest air fare with Accredited Travel

    Agency. Tickets issued in Manila have

    flexibility for departures upon request,

    but owners may issue Pre-paid Ticket

    Advise (PTA).

  • Allotment

    Philippine Government regulations require that

    each month 80% of the basic wages of a Filipino

    Seafarer be allotted to his family and remitted

    and directly deposited to the bank in the

    Philippines. A Crewing Agent must each month

    advise the Philippine Central Bank of foreign

    currency on wage remittances the agent

    receives, and submit payroll reports to the

    Philippine Overseas Employment Administration,

    and other government agencies.

  • Compulsory Contributions

    Philippine Governments Social Security System (SSS) requires compulsory contributions

    for overseas workers below the age of 61.

    Both employee and employer contribute

    according to the SSS contribution scheme as

    scheduled either Monthly or Quarterly.

    The employees contribution is deducted from their wage remittance to WIDESEA Marine

    Services & Shipping Lines, Inc.

    The employers contribution, presently at USD36.00 a month for each seafarer, is sent to

    WIDESEA Marine Services & Shipping Lines, Inc.,

    which then remits the amounts to SSS /

    PAGIBIG/ PHILHEALTH and furnishes receipts to

    the employer. The employer may send SSS

    contributions together with family allotment

    each month.

  • Performance Monitoring

    As part of our quality service program, we

    will be requiring the master of a vessel to

    send regular reports to WIDESEA Marine

    with the discretion of the Principal.

    Evaluation is based on performance,

    competence and behavior. Reports are then

    sent on Quarterly bases to assist us in the

    selection process.

    Seafarer's Accidents/Sickness

    Claims

    Regular reports are sent to Principal for

    seafarer who is repatriated due to illness or

    injury. WIDESEA Marine Services & Shipping

    Lines, Inc. staff check the medical

    treatment, sickness benefits, hospital and

    medical expenses and coordinate

    accordingly.

    WIDESEA Marine services & Shipping Lines,

    Inc. ensures that the handlings of these

    claims are treated with great sensitivity

    and efficiency.

  • Training Program

    WIDESEA Marine Services & Shipping

    Lines, Inc. has established strong partnership

    with selected reputable training institutions in

    order to strengthen and further develop the

    skills of the seafarers. The training modules

    used are designed to focus on the rules and

    regulations as well as crew compatibility

    expected to demonstrate a team effort

    attitude. Likewise, every crew member is

    expected to display an awareness of these

    restrictions.

    Crew Incidents

    A minor crew incident can be prevented

    from becoming a major one by dealing with it

    immediately. WIDESEA Marine staff will talk to

    the seafarer/s to address his/their concerns

    but this can only be effectively accomplished

    when we are advised immediately by the

    Masters or Principals. WIDESEA Marine may

    coordinate with the local government agencies

    concerned and their foreign counterparts and

    immediately advise the principal.

    For this service to be of mutual benefit, it is

    essential to keep WIDESEA Marine informed

    before a Master or Principals take any action.

    based training program focusing on the ff:

    Familiarization of the various machineries in offshore equipment, and facilities that are

    found on board a particular in OFFSHORE /

    Conventional vessel.

    Proper handling and operation of machineries / equipment within specialize operation.

    Counter measure drills in response common problems occurring while at sea.

    Planning of having our own In House training in DYNAMIC POSITIONING COURSES on BASIC

    and ADVANCE as well as familiarization for all

    ex-crew and of those becoming crew onboard

    DP vessels.

    Simulation and familiarization in Anchor Handling Tug Towing, Supply, Pipe Lying, Rig

    Moving, Positioning / Retrieving of an anchor.

    In-house tutoring in Maritime English, Company SMS and policy, Competency, Safety, Ship

    board Security and Maritime Rules and

    Regulation.

    These are done by way of multi-media

    presentation, hands-on application, role-playing,

    and through lectures and group discussion.
