Wigan and Leigh Residents Funeral Service is delivered toexacting standards by Haydock Funeral Service, a professionalfuneral director.

A recent report identified the national average cost of a funeralas £3,456 but when you add additional discretionary funeralcosts, such as obituaries in the local paper, it could be as muchas £5,462.

Wigan and Leigh Residents Funeral Service offers two servicesat low, fixed prices:

Cremation £1,847Burial £1,896

Is this fixed rate open to everyone?

The service is available to anyone who is arranging the funeralof someone who has died whilst residing in the borough ofWigan. Or if you currently live in Wigan Borough and are in theprocess of planning your own funeral.

The service will be held at Wigan Crematorium or any of theborough’s nine cemeteries.

The cost, which has been agreed in advance, representsexcellent value for money and includes the items listedopposite.

It does not, however, include discretionary costs such as flowersor an obituary in the paper.

This includes:

• Collection of the deceased from within the

borough’s boundary

• Use of the Funeral Director’s Chapel of Rest

(for families where transport is unavailable a

collection service is available to visit the Chapel

of Rest by arrangement)

• Arranging and supervising the funeral

• Hearse and one following limousine

• A suitable oak (or similar) finished coffin, with

engraved nameplate, interior and appropriate

handles

• Cremation costs/burial costs

• Additional costs such as doctor/clergy fees.
