Get lost in the forests of
Bwindi
You've arrived in one of Uganda's most remote
but most beautiful regions. These ancient
forests are home to an estimated 400
mountain gorillas.
This dense park, accessible only on foot, is habitat to over 200
spectacular butterfly species, as well as L’Hoest’s monkey, black
and white colobus, red-tailed monkeys, giant forest hog and the
African golden cat.
Bwindi is one of the top 10 birding sites in Africa with over 350
recorded species, including 23 endemics (you will spot 90% of all
Albertine Rift endemics here).
