• Alexandra Lakin, a Los Angeles based artist and illustrator. Lakin's recent work

explores her experimentation with wood to create 'statuettes’ inspired by vintage German Erzgebirge figurines. Her work pushes color relationships while investigating the female figure and identity with a semi-narrative approach.

• Michael Wilding is a sculptor based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Through sculpture,

Wilding is able to combine all of his passions - art, music, and performance. His large-scale stone, marble and steel sculptures take on abstract form, using the stone’s natural shape as a guide.

• John Will , an experimental artist based in Calgary; Will’s work in painting and

printmaking deals primarily with issues of mortality, death, politics, religion and spiritual enlightenment.

INAUGURAL SHOW #2 will be on view May 17 from June 7, 2014. The opening reception will be on Saturday, May 17 from 6 – 8pm. Artists featured in the show include:

• Bill Anderson, a Vancouver based photographer. Bill’s current work explores the interpretive potential of digital photography after twenty-five years working with traditional large-format photography and alternative printmaking techniques such as Gum Bichromate, Cyanotype, and Platinum.

• Michael Cran, a sculptor and painter based in Northern California. In his current

series, “nice package” he uses post-consumer packaging with cement and wood, transforming the nature of the object from temporary to permanent, trash to treasure. Selections from this series will be included in the exhibition.

• Christian Eckart, a painter based in Houston, Texas. A self-described fin-de-siecle Icon Painter, Eckart works in a variety of medium such as wood mouldings, Plexiglass, Formica, gold-leaf, brushed aluminum lacquer and found images.

• Herald Nix, a painter and musician living in Salmon Arm, British Columbia. For the

last 40 years Nix has painted his native landscape. His current work demonstrates his investigation of abstraction and his reflection of the land.

• Hap Tivey, a New York based artist. For more than thirty years, Tivey's work has

investigated the phenomena of light. In installation, painting, sculpture and projection, he pursues the concrete experience of light as well as the emotional and theoretical implications it holds for the human condition.
