IMPORTANT NOTE: This Twin over Full style bunk bed unit consists of two seperate “side mount” wall beds units that will be assembled independently and then stacked one (twin size) on top of the other. These instructions will show the assembley process that will need to take place for both beds (each step will need to be done to both units). There are some steps that will apply only to one or the other bed and will be noted for that step.

Step 1: Position Bed Box and Right and Left Side Boards in your room with the bot-tom of the bed closest to the wall the bed is to be installed against.

Step 2: With a pair of pliers, or a small regular screw driver, remove the E-clips from pivot posts on the Side Boards. Leave the white nylon spacers in place on the Pivot Posts.

Step 3: Slide Side Board Pivot Posts through the Pivot Holes in the bed box as shown. Then replace the E-clips by snapping them back onto the Pivot Posts in groove provided.

Step 4: Attach the lower end of the LIFT PISTON (skinnier end) onto the LOWER ANCHOR PLATE on both sides of the bed box by positioning the sock-et end of the piston directly over the anchor ball on the anchor plates and pushing them on. The piston socket should snap into place over the anchor ball.

Step 5: Spread out the Side Board tops so the Bed Box has clearance to pass through the bed stops on the Side Boards.

Step 6: This step will require two people. One person will need to kneel down in front of the Bed Box and lift it up about 5 to 7 inches. The second person will position the upper socket end of the LIFT PISTON directly over the anchor ball on the upper anchor plate and snap it into place. The first person may need to raise and lower the Bed Box slightly to allow the piston

Step 4: Attach the Head-board Top to the Headboard as illustrated.

Note illustration 2 shows the correct position of the Head-board Top (the front should overhang by 3/8”).

Step 10: Once the Head Board is at-tached to the Side Boards place the Brass Bed Bumpers onto the Bed Rail on both sides of the bed box.

Step 7: With the bed still laying face down the Headboard can be installed. HAVE SOME-ONE HELP WITH THIS STEP. Slide the Headboard between the Side Boards and under the Connecting Bolts then slide the Cam Fittings into the Connecting Bolts and tighten the Cam fittings. DO NOT USE A POWER SCREW DRIVER.

NOTE: THE UPPER BUNK’S HEAD BOARD MOUNTS LOWER

Step 12: Have someone help lift the Wall Bed into the standing position. Leave it about 2 feet from the wall the bed is to be installed against so there will be room to work behind the bed.

Step 11: Locate the Stretcher Board and slide it between the Side Boards at the bottom of the Wallbed. In-sert the Connecting Bolts into the Cam fittings and tighten them by turning the cam clockwise. Do this procedure by hand DO NOT USE A POWER SCREW DRIVER.

IMPORTANT NOTE! Position the Stretcher so the 3/4” finished edge is DOWN toward your floor.

Step 14: From the back of the Wall Bed attach the Bridge to the Side Boards using three (on each side) 1 1/2” screws. Place the screws through the holes provided in the corner blocks on the Bridge Board and drive them into the Side Boards.

Step 15: Once the bed is standing up, slide it back and position it against the wall where it is to be installed. Check the gap between the Side Boards and the Bed Box on both sides. The gap at this point will prob-ably need to be adjusted. You can adjust the gap by pushing the bed to one side or the other at the top of the bed. Pushing it will even the gap from top to bottom on each side. At this point don’t worry if one side has a larger gap than the other as long as each sides gap is about the same from top to bottom on each side.

Step 13: Place the Bridge Board on top of the Wall Bed and position it so the front of the Bridge is flush with the front of the Side Boards.

Step 16: Locate the studs in your wall with a stud finder, then mark them lightly with a pencil just above the Anchor Board located at the back of the Bridge Board. (see illustration 8) You should find at least 3 studs for anchoring the bed to the wall. IF YOUR WALLS ARE NOT TRADITIONAL WOOD FRAMING, YOU MAY NEED TO HIRE A HANDY MAN OR CONTRACTOR TO HELP IN ANCHORING THE BED SECURELY TO YOUR WALL. Step 17: Using a 1/4” drill bit pre-drill holes through the Anchor Board that correspond with the 3 studs you will use to anchor your bed to the wall. Now, using three, 3 1/2” screws anchor the Wall Bed to the wall. IT IS EXTREME-LY IMPORTANT THAT THE BED IS ANCHORED SECURELY TO THE WALL.

Placing upper bunk in place

Step 19: Placing the upper bunk in place will require at least 5 lifting persons. Arrange 2 people on the left and 2 on the right and one person in front to prevent the upper bunk from tipping forward during the lifting process.The upper bunk will sit on the top of the lower bunk with the corner blocks of the lower bridge board against the inside of the left and right side boards of the up-per bunk.

Step 20: Locate the studs in your wall with a stud finder, then mark them lightly with a pencil just above the Anchor Board located at the back of the Bridge Board. IF YOUR WALLS ARE NOT TRA-DITIONAL WOOD FRAMING, YOU MAY NEED TO HIRE A HANDY MAN OR CONTRACTOR TO HELP IN ANCHORING THE BED SECURELY TO YOUR WALL. Step 21: Using a 1/4” drill bit pre-drill holes through the Anchor Board that correspond with the 3 studs you will use to anchor your bed to the wall. Now, using three, 3 1/2” screws anchor the Wall Bed to the wall. IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THAT THE BED IS AN-CHORED SECURELY TO THE WALL.

Step 22: Open the upper bunk and attach the upper bunk to the lower bunk using 1 1/4” screws through the corner blocks on the top of the lower bunk’s bridge board as illus-trated

Step 23:With the upper bed opened slightly as illustrated place the CENTER MOLD between and flush with the side boards and on top of the lower beds bridge board. Attach the center mold using the small “L” brackets (to the back) with the 1/2” inch screws.

With the lower bed opened slightly as illustrated place the LOWER BASE MOLD against the boards with the small “L” brackets on top of the stretcher board. Attach the mold using 1/2” inch screws through the small “L” brackets.

WARNING!!TO HELP PREVENT SERIOUS OR FATAL INJURIES FROM ENTRAPMENT OR FALLS

-Never allow a child under 12 years old on upper bunk.-Use only mattress which is 74”- 75” long and 37”- 38” wide.-Ensure thickness of mattress does not exceed 9” and mattress is at least 5” below upper edge of guardrail.

-Use guardrail on front side of upper bunk.-Prohibit horseplay on or under bed(s).-Prohibit more than one person on upper bunk.-Use ladder for entering and leaving upper bunk.

STRANGULATION HAZARD – Never a�ach or hang items to any part of the bunk bed that is not designed for use with the bed: for example, but not limited to, hooks, belts and jump ropes.

Step 24: Position the upper bunk guardrails on the INSIDE of the mat-tress box and attach it to the mattress box using the hardware provided.

WARNING!!UPPER BUNK MUST HAVE GUARDRAILS PERMANENTLY IN-STALLED. FAILURE TO INSTALL AND USE GUARDRAILS COULD RESULT IN A SERIOUS FALL.

1 1/4” Wood ScrewNOTE: It is recommended to attach the side cabinets to the bed so they fit tight to the bed and are secured properly.

Step 25: Anchor the side cabinet to the bed by first pre-drilling three 3/16” holes at the inside edge of the side cabinet. Position the holes close to the front edge. One hole should be near the top, one should be inside the draw-er area (remove drawer from cabinet to get to this one), and the third should be at the bot-tom (open door if your cabinet has door, or remove drawer at bottom) for this hole. (See illustration 15)

Step 26: Move the side cabi-nets next to the bed and use three 1 1/4” screws through pre-drilled holes to anchor side cabinets to the bed’s side boards.

Step 27:Insert Gold Shelf Supports at desired location in Side Cabinets then place shelves. (Wardrobes don’t have adjustable shelves).
