In 1947, Wilkes College was instituted as an independent, nondenominational

four-year college, with programs in the arts, sciences, and a number of professional fields as well as a full program of extra-curricular activities. Designation as Wilkes

University in 1990 capped an eventful and productive half-century of development

and signaled the beginning of a new era of progress as an increasingly distinguished and prominent academic institution.

Our campus encompasses twenty seven acres and includes...

Eight academic buildings, 20 residence halls, nine administrative build-ings, the Eugene S. Farley Library, the Henry Student Center, Annette Evans Alumni and Faculty House, Sordoni Art Gallery, Burns Alumni Bell Tower and Carillon, Dorothy Dickson Darte Center for the Performing Arts, Presi-dent’s Home, Arnaud C. Marts Sports and Conference Center (with the Frank M. and Dorothea Henry Gymnasium), Ralston Field Athletic Sports Com-plex, Munson Fieldhouse, and the Allan P. Kirby Center for Free Enterprise and Entrepreneurship.
