June 2020 Newsletter
Congratulations to our Tri Youth Graduating Seniors! We are proud of their vast achievements in academics, music, sports, yearbook, and other areas of life for these young people! We are also grateful
for the many ways they have shared with us over the years at church in worship, leadership, and service
to our community and world! To our graduating youth and their parents, we say congratulations and God bless you in the next stage of life and growth. I hope you will pray for them by name, in your times of
personal prayer and devotion, using the following prayer.
Loving God, we give thanks for the gift that our youth are to the Trinity church family. As we have nurtured them, they have nurtured us in Youth Sundays and leadership in the church. We pray today for our high school graduates as they transition in the life of our society. Build up their faith in the years to come, as they have been built up with faithful resilience in what would have been their final semester. Lord, be with these young people, guiding, protecting, and loving them all the days of their lives. Amen.

Join us for THE BIG DIG! Families with children (birth to 5th grade) are invited to dig deeper into
God’s BIG PLAN. THE BIG DIG is a six-week long “game” where the points do not matter unless you
care about winning. Each week families will have the chance to bring faith into the home and teach
their children about God’s BIG PLAN in a friendly game format. Carrys will be contacting every
family with more information but, in the meantime, choose a team name, create a team flag, and get
READY to DIG DEEP!
We are happy to see the beautiful progress made on the church property that will be used for parking and other church events.
The Witness and Outreach Committee wants to share with our Trinity family some of the things that your contributions are doing for people in need
during these trying times. We recently made several significant monetary gifts to these groups. Guatemala: The country of Guatemala is in a strict
shutdown, and we learned from our mission partners in Coban that many families in Chisec Presbytery are in dire need of food. We sent funds we had
planned to spend for building during our mission trip, as well as another large contribution, for food for the villages in the area and in the city of Coban.
Family Promise: Our contribution to Family Promise will add to a grant that matches funds dollar for dollar to
help thirty desperate families pay their rent and remain in their homes. Ecumenical Ministries: Our contribution will help with food and other needs of local families. Prodisee Pantry: The unprecedented food needs due to
COVID-19 have stretched that food service to the limit. Rotary Boys and Girls Club of Fairhope: Members of our congregation donated more than three carloads of food to be delivered through that organization to local
families. We also sent gift bags to the volunteers who manage the program. Presbyterian Home for Children: They continue to care for families and children from all over the state. We will continue to monitor local needs
in our effort to be the hands and feet of our Lord.
The Guatemala Mission Trip will be virtual!
Join us June 28 - July 2
This year, the entire church family will have an
opportunity to participate in the mission trip. Each evening at 7 pm, we will interact with our mission
partners in Coban, along with other guests, by
Zoom to better understand the work that is being done in Guatemala, and to reflect on how God is calling us
to be missionaries in our own context as well! More details to follow.
