That mark currently places him firt in the GLVC. He also is scoring 11.5 points a game and has reg-istered a team high four double doubles in ten games this season.
Winning StreaksBoth teams are coming in with winning streaks. Bellarmine was reeled off six straight wins while the Cardinals are on a season high
three game winning streak.
Ci Ci’s Three’sThe Cardinals continued their
touch from 3-point land against Graceland hitting 13 of 27. Jewell has outshot the opposition 99-94 in 3-point shots on the season. The Cardinals currently lead the GLVC in 3-point field goals made.
SCOUTING THE KNIGHTSThe Bellarmine Knights put together its best showing of the season today in handing
the No. 7 Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters a 98-84 defeat in front of a near capacity crowd in Knights Hall.
Junior Rusty Troutman poured in a career-high 34 points and hauled in a game-high eight rebounds to lead the Knights, but Head Coach Scott Davenport was the most pleased with the team effort Bellarmine gave tonight, citing the 21 team assists and gang-rebounding totals as statistical evidence of their team play.
Troutman earned GLVC player of the week honors for his performance.
The Knights are coached by Scott Davenport became the 11th coach in Bellarmine University men’s basketball history, and in six years took BU all the way to the top by leading the Knights to the 2011 NCAA Division II Tournament national championship. For his efforts, he was named national Coach of the Year by two different organizations: the National Association of Basketball Coaches and the Division II Bulletin.
Under Davenport, Bellarmine remains one of the premier programs in Division II. In 2014-15, Davenport led the Knights to their third Final Four in five years following a Great Lakes Valley Conference East Division championship and a Midwest Regional title. Davenport guided BU to the most regular-season victories in school history. The Knights finished 31-4 overall to claim the second-most wins in program history and 17-1 in the GLVC to tie the 2011 squad for best conference performance.
Conference GamesThe Cards will resume conference play for the rest of the regular season. Jewell is currently 0-2 in the GLVC having lost to Quincy and Truman State back in early
December.
Senior LeaderSenior guard Darius Tomlin cur-rently leads the Cardinals in scor-ing averaging 17.7 a game. He is second on the team in assists and second in steals. He also leads the Cards in minutes played this season loggin 343 minutes in 10

WILLIAM JEWELL COLLEGEMEN’S BASKETBALL
The Cardinals are 50-62 overall since officially joining NCAA Division II in the fall 2011. As an NAIA member, Holley guided eleven Jewell squads to HAAC Regular Season Conference Titles, and fourteen teams to the NAIA National Tournament with four of them reaching the Final Four (1993, 1995, 1996,
1997) and three reaching the Elite Eight (1988, 1992, 2004).
A win for the Cardinals would mean their fourt straight win and their first GLVC win.
CARDINALS ON THE AIR
Live video streaming of Cardinal home events in foot-ball, soccer, volleyball, men’s and women’s basketball, softball and baseball became a reality in 2011-12, as well as the live broadcast of Jewell’s graduation in May of 2012 and 2013. During the winter of 2012, live swimming was added to the production schedule, with the first Jewell tennis match broadcast in January of 2015. There have also been nearly 1200 videos posted to the Jewell athletic website, www.JewellCardinals.com, produced by Rick Cole, director of broadcasting and community engage-ment, and the William Jewell College Sports Network. Jewell also was named winner of the Great Lakes Valley Conference 2011-12 Award of Excellence for their participation and coverage of a significant community engagement activity during their first year in the conference. In 2012 through 2014, Jewell home events that are streamed on the Jewell athletic website were also seen on Time-Warner Cable Sports Channel throughout the region. Beginning in the 2013-14 school year, the WJCSN has featured as many as six different cameras to cover events, and has expanded to slow-motion replays and on-screen graphics as well. Workers on the live broadcast staff are mainly Jewell work-study students who train and work as part of their finan-cial aid package at Jewell. “I think our online telecasts are the best in the GLVC,” said Cole. “It’s a tribute to the College for allowing me to pro-duce coverage in the way I think suits us best, and to the stu-dents at Jewell for executing the plan.” Cole is also an intrical part of the development of the GLVC Sports Network and helps broadcast multiple conference championship events.
A loss for the Cardinals would mean a 5-6 start and an 0-3 start in the GLVC
