ILLIAM LEE TURLEY was born on July 18, 1936 in St. Louis, Missouri by the union of Elmo and Elizabeth Turley. He was the youngest of four children, two sisters and one brother. William proceeded through many obstacles; including the death of his parents, his eldest sister and brother, LaFlora Haynes and James Turley, and his grandson Myron Roosevelt Jones Jr. William Turley professed hope in Christ at an early age. He attended Washington Technical School. He was employed at Loose Leaf Company as a binder worker and later pursued on working as a butcher and co-owner of Big B Supermarket for 45 years. He was generous and a blessing to many families at no cost to them. He was united in holy matrimony to the love of his life, Johnnie Mae Poston, on February 18, 1956. Turley was a sustaining husband and father. He loved his children and grandchildren dearly, and would sacrifice anything to fulfill the needs for his family. On Friday, July 24, 2015, the Lord called our beloved William Lee Turley home. He leaves to cherish his love and memory to his devoted wife, Johnnie Mae; his five children Carla, Brenda (Calvin Woods), Shellie, Rita (Robert Morris), and William Jr (Tiffany Turley); his grandchildren, Destiny, Jay (Aariona Woods), Wayne, Taylor, Jabriel, Jabreea, and Caleb; one sister Betty (James Smith); his brother in-laws Norman Sanders, John Poston; his three sister in-laws Susan Turley, Eliza Lott, and Susan Carpenter; his special nephew Normand Sanders Jr.; and a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
