In today’s corporate world much focus is on consolidation and competitiveness. The US wind energy industry wants solutions and not just products. To meet industry needs, we have therefore taken the initiative to facilitate solutions by establishing a specialized team for Wind Energy Advisory Services for North America at the Consulate General of Den-mark in Chicago. Our first concept aspires to create a cluster of complementary Danish component suppliers that join forces to offer cutting edge industrial solutions as demand-ed by the major Original Equipment Suppliers (OEM) of wind turbines. Our overriding aim is to facilitate and drive growth by reaping synergies from companies with complementary products in a cost efficient way.

Barriers for entering a new major market can be substantial, but with the cluster concept, we can lower these costs for the participating companies, while simultaneously providing a local presence with our long-term and dedicated focus on the market. We hope that you will welcome the Wind Energy Advisory Services for North America and the launch of its first initiative, the cluster concept for Danish component suppliers. Rest assured that we continuously strive to meet your goals in a way that not only lives up to our hands-on ap-proach, but also reflects an urgent need within the wind energy industry.

Our team provides a full range of services to Danish companies that are either active or wish to enter the North American wind energy market. The services offered can take the company from the planning stages of a new market entry to execution of the entry process whether that remains on an export based model, joint venture, alliance, or requires the establishment of a local subsidiary.

Strategic Analysis & PlanningTogether we will work out a road map and a sound financial plan detailing step-by-step long-term goals, milestones, and the costs involved to your company. This will result in a go-to-market strategy that is designed to take your particular needs and cir-cumstances into consideration, while paying close attention to the industry and market dynamics.

Business ExecutionOur team focuses on the interface between operational sales, strategic business development and government relations. Our team will identify, establish and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders in the market and guarantees constant lo-cal market presence. Your business activities will be coordinated, and could include premium services covering the entire business cycle. The execution phase includes the set-up of a local sales office at our premises in Chicago (Incubator). We can arrange warehousing, stocking facilities and distribution that will enable local invoicing/billing and just-in-time delivery.

Corporate EstablishmentWe can facilitate a fully owned set up and launch of US subsidiary at a carefully selected location, including the screening and recruit-ment of new employees. Apart from identifying sites and building facilities, our feasibility studies include local business conditions; tax issues; federal and state incentives; access to our network of professional lawyers, accountants, and other professional services; transportation issues; and access to sub-suppliers

They have the knowledge and the contacts to assure a smooth process and guided us through the pitfalls, while working out all the logistics for our team. Working together with the Trade Council was one of the key fac-tors in the success of our US expansion.”
