Wind power is the conversion of wind energy into a useful form of energy, such as using: wind

turbines to make electrical power, windmills for mechanical power,

Wind power, as an alternative to fossil fuels, is plentiful, renewable, widely distributed, clean,

produces no greenhouse gas emissions during operation and uses little land.[2] Any effects on the

environment are generally less problematic than those from other power sources. As of 2011,Denmark is generating more than a quarter of its electricity from wind. 83 countries around the

world are using wind power on a commercial basis.[3] In 2010 wind energy production was over

2.5% of total worldwide electricity usage, and growing rapidly at more than 25% per annum. The

monetary cost per unit of energy produced is similar to the cost for new coal and natural gas

installations.[4] Although wind power is a popular form of energy generation, the construction of

wind farms is not universally welcomed due to aesthetics.[5][6][7][8][9][10][11]

    Advantages of wind energy

It is a type of renewable energy because it comes from atmospheric processes due to the energy

that reaches Earth from the Sun

It is a clean energy because it produces no air emissions or polluting waste.

No external combustion produces carbon dioxide (CO2), so it does not contribute to the

    greenhouse effect and climate change.

Can be installed in areas unsuitable for other purposes, for example in desert areas near the coast,

in arid and very steep slopes to be arable.

It can coexist with other land uses, such as meadows for livestock use or low crops like wheat,

    corn, potatoes, beets, etc..

Create a large number of jobs in assembly plants and installation areas.

Installation is quick, from 4 months to 9 months

HistoryWind energy is not new, is one of the oldest energy with thermal energy. The wind as a driving

force there since ancient times and in all times has been used as such, as we can see. It originates

from the sun. So has movedSailboatsandsailing shipsted the mill machinery moving blades. But it

was not until the eighties of the last century, when this type of clean energy suffered a real boost.

Wind energy grows unstoppable from XXI century, in some countries more than others, but

certainly in Spain there is a great growth, one of the first countries behind Germany in Europe or

the United States to worldwide. Its boom in wind farms is due to the favorable conditions of wind

there, especially in Andalusia occupies a leading position among which we can highlight the Gulf of

Cadiz, as the wind resource is exceptional.

    Using wind power

The wind power industry in modern times began in 1979 with the serial production of

wind turbines by Kuriant manufacturers, Vestas, Nordtank, and Bonus.
