ECN owns five 2.5MW research wind turbines • Measurement campaign for more than ten years • Meteorological masts of 109m for wind measurements • R&D turbines facilitate demonstration of innovations • ECN is accredited IEC and MEASNET for Power Performance,

Mechanical Loads, Noise and Wind Conditions

• ECN has been the preferred partner for measurements in the OWEZ measurement and evaluation programme

• ECN was leading partner measurements on Downvind offshore turbines

ECN facilitates six proto-type test locations • In the Wieringermeer, ECN offers six test locations with certification

Proeftuin op zee • ECN collaborates with a workgroup to develop the ‘proeftuin op zee’.

TKI Wind op Zee intends to develop this wind farm to test, validate and demonstrate the innovations from the Dutch industry under full-scale conditions.
