Give your device a

descriptive name

and click Next.

first the Zune

software needs to be

updated.

Click on Update Now

to update the Zune

software.

Zune updates itself.

This includes an

internet download

and the installation

of the update.

This will take some

time.

Step 3, 4 & 5

Once the Zune

software is up to

date and your

phone is still

plugged into your

PC, Zune will check

for a Windows

Phone 7 update.

The Zune software

detected an

available update for

Windows Phone 7.

Click on ‘Update

Now’

During the update

the only available

button is Cancel.

installed.
