WHAT IS TROPICAL CORN?
• Grown in Mexico (likes heat and resists pest) • Similar products in the past
• Large dairy market
• 120-130 day maturity • Grows tall (doesn’t put much of an ear on stalk)
• Tonnage
• Feed for heifers and dry cows• Contains low energy so cows won’t put on extra weight
•Extra weight = calving complications and pregnancy issues

CONCLUSION • EXP 144
• Comes out of ground good until v4-v5• Start to fall behind in height after v5• Internodes lengthen out around 3-5 leaves (2-3 feet) before tassel and passes other
varieties up • 5887VT39• F2F627• 5875SS• 4819A3000GT
• Very similar in height and diameter• Tassels like other varieties
