Together Grow (5)
29 JANUARY 2011
The Outdoor Meetingat Marina Barrage
It was truly a fun andeventful day!!
In 1988, during his first visit to Singapore, Sensei presented the chinese calligraphy “共生” (Together Grow) to the Student division. His wish is for all of us to grow together. Back in 2008, we started our first Together Grow (TG) training course and in early this year, we have graduated our fifth batch of this training course, TG5.
Since then, the purpose of TG training has never changed, that is to foster 1st rate disciples of Ikeda sensei.

Sensei’s academic accolades
The My Mentor Daisaku Ikeda also known as “MMDI” was an exhibition that showcased various aspects of our mentor, Dr Daisaku Ikeda’s life—his efforts in promoting education and peace, as a prolific writer of many books, and as an avid photographer amongst many endeavors. The SD completed preparations for this exhibition within a challenging short time frame of 2-3 months in hope of using this opportunity to express the mentor and disciple spirit by sharing Dr Ikeda’s life and pursuits with more people.

Members of Singapore Polytechnic SD (SPSD) participate annually in Poly 50, a running relay race organized by their school where teams of 10 compete to complete 50 rounds of 600m. SPSD looks forward to this annual event with great anticipation and treats their “traditional” participation as a superb platform to bond and break through their own personal limitations in the midst of their busy school schedules (especially for those who dislike running)!
