Dear Families and Friends,

Meet Mary.

Her two great passions are horses andcreating art. Cerebral Palsy, aneurological disorder that tightensMary’s muscles and affects movement, does not deter her from meeting hergoals when it comes to the animalsshe loves and making the artwork thatbrings them to life.

For over 10 years now, Mary hasparticipated in Living Resources’Carriage House Arts Center Programin Albany. With the guidance of finearts instructors, Mary creates award-winning pieces of art, incorporatingelegance and movement. Her“disability” only makes her moredetermined to create exactly what sheenvisions in her mind and her workbecomes her strong, resounding voice.

One of Mary’s dreams is to somedayown a thoroughbred and to bephotographed in the Winner’s Circle atthe Saratoga Track. She works towardthis goal by selling limited edition printsof her most popular paintings. Her momnervously laughs when talking about Mary being ahorse owner – not because she’s afraid that Mary willfail but rather that Mary will succeed!

Mary has dreams fueled by hope. Her family, artinstructors, and friends in the community surroundher with support, allowing Mary to reach her fullestpotential.

Living Resources is a proud partner in Mary’s circle anda partner in the lives of 1,300 other individualschallenged by disabilities.
