The BOOMbox provides tools and inspiration focusing on a different theme every few months. Through February, we’re featuring everything you need for fabrication and rapid prototyping—3D printers, vinyl cutters, Arduinos, and more. We’ll have events and drop-in times for kids in grades 3–8, high school students, and adults, in addition to family events. Find all events at calendar.skokielibrary.info. The BOOMbox is in Youth Services, but it is not just for kids.

Maker Fest: Fabrication In celebration of this winter’s “fabrication” theme in the BOOMbox, we’re showcasing interactive projects and designs from the community. Drop in to experience making, tinkering, and science exploration, and get inspired to do your own making at the library’s first Maker Fest.

Saturday, January 31, noon–4 pm
