The Favorite Doll Club celebrates the beauty of friendship and independence across cultures and decades. Students will enjoy crafts, stories and playtime revolving around their dolls. We’ll explore exciting themes during class, such as “slumber party” and “tea party.” MS. VANDERBOSCH can’t wait to get started! Students are invited to bring along any doll of their choice to participate in this club.

Join MISS STOLBERG on Monday afternoons for fun and games! Students will buildnew friendships and hone teamwork skills as they engage in a variety of board gamesand various other hands-on games. Games include Twister, KerPlunk, Guess Who,Trouble, Candyland, Battleship, Monopoly, Giant Jenga and many more!

Dive into some divisive debates with MR. CAHILL! We’ll use a revised Karl Popper debate format to form and present arguments on a range of contentious topics and questions. Students will learn basic debating skills and will gain confidence as public speakers while engaging with classical and contemporary controversies alongside (and opposite) their classmates.

Fitness, The Friends, Food, Fitness and Fun Club is all about spending the afternoon with old and new friends, sharing recipes, making (and eating!) delicious food, being active, and of course, having lots of fun! Each week a new and exciting activity will be introduced such as baking cookies, creating friendship bracelets, and learning fun ways to be active. Join MRS. GEORGALAS and MRS. PEZZA and build new friendships while cooking, playing games, staying active, and having lots offun!

The STEAM Team is a club that invites students in grades 1-3 to tinker, create, explore, and discover using all the latest building and technology materials our SFX Maker Space has to offer! Each week, MISS LAVELLE will present students with a STEAM-inspired challenge where they will use critical thinking skills to plan, build and test a solution.

Chess enthusiasts will delight in learning about the game of chess with MRS. COBIA and MISS SASSO. Beginners and advanced beginners alike will learn, practice, and refine skills and strategies in a supportive and fun environment. While beginning students will learn basics, advanced beginners will learn and practice beginning, middle and end game strategies, as well as special moves.All students will have practice time using tournament boards.

Kindergartners enjoy their very own Club this winter! MRS. MCINTYRE andMRS. SCHLAX will lead an action-packed art experience using paint brushes,learning about line and shape, creating fantastic drawings, mixing paintpurposefully, and exploring details in collages. Join MR. VAN on Friday afternoons and explore the Anchor app as you ideate, script, record, and publish your very own podcast!

Do you love art? Simply can’t get enough of it? Then join MISS TAUBENSEE and MRS. SAWYER and claim your spot as a Knight of the Art Table! We will explore arts and crafts materials and spend a session or two delving into the epic kingdom of cartooning. The art-making options are endless! Come, join us in the mystical (and sometimes sparkly) Land of Arts & Crafts and we’ll see which “imagination dragons” we capture first. There’s glitter on the horizon, Crusaders!

Keyboarding

grades 4-8

Creativity and cooperation are highlighted in this club as students work in teams to build structures together. We will offer themes for students to use as a springboard for new ideas and creations. Enjoy time with friends new and old while using your imagination to create, build, and explore. Lego Club is led by MRS. ZEMAN every Friday.

Join the Keyboarding party after school on Fridays with MISS BIGELOW! Using web-based, self-paced typing lessions, students will learn and practice correct posture,hand positioning, and packing for typing on a standard keyboard. Run/walk/dancebreaks are included throughout the hour, and party favors are given at the end! Students will be able to continue practicing in their online accounts on their owntime and after the session ends.
