Phase II was held in February 2013 both were
attended by 73 participants.
Disaster Rehabilitation
US Chapter collected & donated US$
11,476 to the Red Cross towards the
victims of Hurricane Sandy this
contribution was matched by Wipro.

Program covers 9 villages with a population of around 12000 to provide comprehensive
primary health services and specialized services through regular health camps
Hindupur Health Care
Project, around WIN
Hindupur Plant
The project caters to the primary health care needs of 5 villages in Mysore taluk reaching
out to a population of around 3000. The project includes focus on personal and
community health and hygiene with specific emphasis on women and child health
Mysore Health Care
Project
The project meets the primary health care needs of 5 villages in Amalner taluk reaching
out to a population of around 3000. Apart from OPD facilities the project would carry out
periodic health care camps on identified chronic diseases in the area & generate
awareness around issues of health & hygiene. The project would also work towards
strengthening the existing infrastructure such as anganwadis & VHSC to enable the
community to fight for their own health rights. In January 2013 the project added 2 more
project villages

Project
The project covers 11 villages with a population of over 11000 to provide comprehensive
primary health care services and regular health camps on various diseases. The
program also includes community mobilization and the capacity building of anganwadi
workers and traditional birth attendants.

Primary Health Care Projects
Running 5 Projects in Karnataka, Maharashtra & Andhra Pradesh
The project provides primary health care services through mobile clinics in 11 villages.
The project completed three years in November 2012. Over 3 years the mobile clinic
reached out to more than 45,000 patients & the Reproductive Child Health (RCH) clinic
aided more than 6000 pregnant women with regards to their health requirements. The
project also organized awareness programs on issues identified in the communities

Door Step School, Pune: Wipro Cares
continued to support a Teacher Training Centre
“Parivartan” that trained around 417 teachers,
who then reached out to teaching over 71247
children of Door Step School. This also increased
the employability of young women
RockFund, Bangalore: Wipro
Cares provided education and
counseling support to 61 girls from
economically weaker sections of the
society
Towards Future, Kolkata: Wipro
Cares supported a home and learning
center for about 100 children of
migrant laborers and brick kiln
workers in the village of Kalikapura
near Kolkata
Ashraya Akruti, Hyderabad: The center catered to the needs of 155
hearing impaired children and provided them with special education
Ananda Vidyalaya, Delhi: Ananda Vidyalaya in Delhi is
working with underprivileged
children with a view to provide
them holistic care with specific
emphasis on education, they
supported around 110 children in
2012-13

is in a remote area in

United States. In response
our US Chapter encouraged
employees to donate towards relief

Big Brother Big Sister (BBBS)
As a part of the US Chapter started the Big Brother Big Sister initiative a
non-profit organization whose mission is to help children reach their
potential through professionally supported, one-to-one relationships with
mentors
Hurricane Sandy Relief
A total of 239 employees donated 11,476 US$, this was matched by Wipro
Employees regularly volunteer at Casa de Amparo ao Idoso Bom
Jesusm which is a home for elderlies and underprivileged children from
Comunidade Vila Torres
The ASEAN chapter encouraged its employees to spend quality time with
the elderlies of Society of the Aged Sick and the children of Life
Student Care
The UAE chapter organized blood donation, waster distribution during
summer and food distribution during Ramadaan. The employees also
spent some quality hours at Special Needs Foundation
