Wireless Projection of Aakash Contents on the Projector Screen
Motivation1. Wireless transmission of Aakash tablet contents on Projector screen, to avail facility for teacher to display subject content (Text, Animations, videos, etc) to students.
2. Use existing infrastructure (Computer and Projector) of school and configure system.

Connections1. Power up router by connecting power adapter of router to power supply.2. Connect Ethernet port of Desktop and Router using Ethernet wire.

VNC SystemVNC stands for “Virtual Network Computing”.VNC technology is used for accessing and operating one computer system from another computer system.VNC system consists of a client and server The VNC server is the program on the machine that shares
its screen. The server passively allows the client to take control of it.
The VNC client (or viewer) is the program that watches, controls, and interacts with the server. The client controls the server.
Software Pre-requisites
Desktop MachineInstall Real VNC viewer.(32 bit or 64 bit as per Operating System)
Aakash TabletInstall VNC Server.(Different versions are available in Google play store.)
Settings in DesktopNo Proxy Setting1. Go to “ Control Panel ”, select view by Small
icons, and select “Internet Options”.Refer screen given below.
2. Click “Connections ” tab.
3. Click “LAN Settings” button.
4. Uncheck the checkbox in front of “Proxy server for your LAN” and Click “OK” button.
Automatic IP address setting1. Go to “ Control Panel ”, select view by Small
icons, and select “Network and Sharing Center”.
2. Click “Change Adapter Settings”.
3. Select and right click on “Local Area Connection”.
4. Select “Internet Protocol version 4 (TCP/IPv4)” and click on “Properties”.
5. Select radio buttons shown in the following screen, and
click OK.
Two Radio Buttons are: i. Obtain an IP address automatically.
ii. Obtain DNS Server address automatically.
Settings in Aakash TabletSetting up Wi-Fi Connection
1. Go to Settings.
2. Tap on Wi-Fi button in Left panel.
3. Available Wi-Fi networks will be displayed.
4. Select Wi-Fi network provided by Router (for Ex.
“Linksys”) connected to Desktop computer.
Running VNC Server in Aakash1. Find VNC server Application in Aakash.
2. Tap on it, application will be launched.
3. Switch on the server button by sliding “On/Off”
button the right.
4. Server starts with some delay, and displays the
IP address and Host No., as shown in screen
below.
Check IP Address and Host number generated.
Running VNC viewer
1. Double Click on “VNC Viewer” icon.
2. Screen VNC viewer application window opens.
3. Enter IP Address and Host No generated by Server on Aakash.
4. After Clicking “Connect” button Encryption screen is displayed.
5. Click on “Continue” button.
Tablet Screen appears on Desktop as shown below.
Now, Whatever activities user does on Aakash tablet is displayed on Desktop and in turn on Projector Screen.

Customizing VNC Viewer
To customize screen view, network (Proxy) settings, Compression/Best Quality, etc , Click “Options”Button in VNC viewer window.
Select various options as per requirements and click OK
