I Promise to Keep Myself Safe Online

I, _____________, promise to keep myself safe when using the internet. I’ll do this by following

these safety guidelines:

I agree to never meet someone in person whom I met online.

I’ll never give out my phone number, my address, my school, or any other information

someone could use to find me in person.

I’ll never give out my parent’s credit card number online.

I won’t visit links to websites that I don’t recognize.

If I see anything online that I don’t feel comfortable with, I’ll tell my parents right away.

If I get an anonymous email, text message or instant message, I’ll tell my parents right

away.

If I receive a mean, insulting or hurtful message, I’ll tell my parents right away. I

understand that other people say mean things and that what they say about me is

probably not true.

I won’t download any software or .exe files that I don’t recognize. I understand that doing

so could result in getting viruses on our computer and put our family at risk.
