Dear Senseis, instructors, athletes, parents, friends;

We would like to invite you and your students to the “Wisconsin State Karate

Championship” (a USA National Karate Qualifier). The Tournament will be held on

Saturday, April 18th, 2020, at the Hamilton High School, Sussex, USA.

ALL the Karate styles and Dojos are welcome to this beautiful State of Wisconsin to

participate in a professional, organized, memorable, competitive, and friendly

environment for all the athletes and instructors.

The Wisconsin State Karate Championship will qualify the first four places to the USA

National Karate-Do Federation Championships and the USA National Team Trials. The

USA-NKF National Championships are the official tournaments where the USA National

Olympic Karate Team is selected to represent the US at international competitions and

to the World Karate Federation (WKF) Tournaments.

Join “SJ Karate” in Sussex, WI, on Saturday, April 18th, 2020, for the Wisconsin Karate State

Championship!

Senseis Seleny and David Crosby, and their SJ Team worked hard to bring a quality Championship that

everyone expects from Wisconsin. This is another official tournament sanctioned by the United States

Karate Federation (USANKF) and a National Karate Qualifier to the USA National Karate-Do Federation

Championships and USA National Team Trials; this unique event will be held in Sussex, WI at the

Hamilton High School.

Participating in these events is essential for all Karatekas:

➢ You all train hard. Tournaments are a great way to show and test your skills with your friends.

➢ Competing in tournaments and setting personal goals for yourself helps you stay motivated to

train and succeed, growing your skills and confidence.

➢ You meet new people and make new friends and help everyone to work and succeed together

as a karate family.

➢ Without your support, these events may not happen in the future.

The opening ceremony begins at 9:15am on April 18tt, 2020

Sussex and Milwaukee, Wisconsin, are about 1.30 hours from Chicago, IL; 4 hours to Indianapolis, IN,

and St. Paul, MN. And 5:40 from St. Louis, MO. The spring is a beautiful time to visit Wisconsin and have
